Specialising in providing anaesthsia for major orthopaedic, general, gynaecological, ENT and urological surgery.
Dr Walton has a particular interest in providing anaesthesia for robotic surgery, major spinal and plastic reconstructive surgery.
Dr Simon Walton is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care based on the South Coast. He was appointed as a consultant in 2003 and practices in both anaesthesia and intensive care medicine. Dr Walton is Clinical Lead for Consent at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and teaches widely on this subject.
He is Chair of The Brighton and Sussex NHS Research Ethics Committee.
He is the Anaesthetic Representative on the National Steering Group of the Royal College of Surgeons for the internationally renowned Advanced Trauma Life Support Course.
In the past he has been a College Tutor, Deputy Director of Medical Education and Foundation Programme Lead. .

Fully insured with the MPS for my work as an expert witness.He is registered with the Information Commissioner (registration number Z2714955) and comply with data protection requirements. Medical records are stored in a locked and CCTV covered office and are shredded at the end of a case. Computer records are stored on password protected and encrypted disc.
